| With
Valentine’s Day in Torrid Teasers Vol. 2, my contemporary
love story was inspired by a fellow writer’s challenge
to pen a tale starring a red satin heart-shaped pillow.
I ran with the idea and created the sensual, romantic
reunion of Valentine and Rafe. Val’s crush on Rafe,
her brother Ryan’s best friend, started when they
were kids. Life sent them in different directions when
Rafe married another woman but reunites the old friends
at Ryan’s wedding.
When Val discovers that
Rafe is divorced, she seizes a chance to fulfill her lifelong
fantasy for one night with the one man she’s never
been able to forget. From the minute Val walks down the
aisle, Rafe is thoroughly turned on by the stunning beauty
his childhood friend has become. Sparks fly, and their
mutual fascination turns to lust. Val and Rafe spend the
night in breathtaking, sensuous love making and find that
a childhood crush is the first step to love. Valentine’s
Day along with Ann Cory’s Snowbound in Torrid Teasers

Ancient Ties goes almost
2,000 years back in history. Several trips to Bath in
England and a life-long love of ancient civilizations
inspired the adventures of the heroine, Janney. Drawing
on my own teaching experience, I wrote the story of a
small town school teacher who steps through the doorway
of a ruined Roman villa in the English countryside and
into the world of Marek, a Roman soldier stationed in
Aquae Sulis, the ancient place name for Bath.
Imagine discovering that
you’ve suddenly traveled to another century and
are seeing that historical period through your own eyes.
Imagine falling in love with a man wrestling with his
painful past and then challenged to deal with the outlandish
reality of a woman from the future, a woman struggling
with her own heartbreak.
Only Marek’s need
to redeem himself in battle and Janney’s fear of
being abandoned in a strange time separate them. It will
take their mortal love and the intercession of ancient
Rome’s immortal Venus, the goddess of love, to bring
them together again.
Sensual fantasies have
always been floating around in my mind. Now I’m
writing them. Joining Romance Writers of America and Passionate
Ink introduced me to other romance writers and helped
hone the craft of sensual romance that has become my passion
and niche in life. I love the creative process and am
constantly, madly writing and revising the “next
great novel.” I live in Chicago with my loving,
supportive husband.
